Everyone listens to music these days and you hear music everywhere. I listen to music on my computer and if I ever turn on my radio I switch to music station. Unfortunately there’s no music on TV because unlike satellite cable has no music on it. I rarely watch it anymore, except when I want to check out some of the MTV TV series such as Jersey Shore on demand or to watch family guy at nights.
Moving on from network devices you also hear music in public places like shopping malls, grocery stores and many other places. When you go to some grocery stores that play music your mood starts changing and you might feel like staying in the place and buy more! Once in a grocery store I spent two hours to buy a bag of chips because I knew they played my favorite songs there; So I ended up buying a frozen pizza, a can of soda, magazine and bunch of other things that I didn’t intend to buy at first.
Music is a great changer of mood and not only for us [humans] but also animals too. One day I was watching a videos on utube and I came across a video in which a guy was telling a story about a cat that could “miraculously” play piano. I had heard about the cat but I wanted to see it for myself, so I clicked on the video and saw a cat barely playing any note, just hitting the keys randomly with its paws and everyone getting so amazed by the scene. That video took over the internet and went viral but when I browsed for animal playing music I found this website that has videos of animals playing any sort of music and also that could beatbox as well!!
So here’s the link.

I also found a blog with hundreds of feedbacks of people who wrote about weather animals like music and it was interesting to that all of them said their pets reacted to music. One person wrote that her dog likes death metal and another person said his dog listened to black eyed peas! I don’t think he was telling the truth! ,but it was certain that some animals enjoy music or they relax better if they are exposed to it or maybe some just start dancing like they’re partying similar to this dog.

Apart from what has been observed by individuals, a group of student in Queens University in England performed an experiment on the dogs living in shelter. They played classical music for a group of dogs and the dogs in this group became much calmer than the other group without any music. Other experiments were done on cows and researchers had found out that the cows tend to produce milk more than usual.
Some researchers claimed that the reason some animals music (especially classical music) and respond to it is that the sound waves produced by the sound of music penetrates their brain and the brain in response sends out neuron massages to the body to relax and decrease the body tension. Therefore they [the animal] start to ease up and relax more.
All of it could be true and if true it reveals that maybe animals understand music and harmony, or music is able to have some effects on their brain; But sure is a great way to calm them down a bit. For many who have pets there must have been moments when their pet is restless or agitated or it doesn’t sleep so with just playing music they can easily relax their pet.
So if your pet doesn’t sleep play s quiet classical music or a sort of music that might also let them sleep peacefully because sometimes they might start to see nightmares like this dog.

After all it could be one worthy experiment to see if our pet likes any music, does your pet like music too?
